Project Description:
This e-commerce section of gabrieladelavega.com was built by isocurve to retain the feeling of the flash site, while being HTML driven and as light on load as possible. Well, we can't have everything but this site is beautiful! The design was created by Jason Robinson and I turned the main PSD into HTML.
Once the design was completed and produced into HTML, I undertook the process of turning the HTML into a usable store. We used Squirrel Cart as our e-commerce platform. Their templating system is less than desirable and more time was spent on producing this e-commerce site than I would have desired. However, the end result is more than acceptable. Many standard store components were violently torn out of the Squirrel Cart engine in order to retain the simple elegance of the site.
